Corona Crisis

About around March 2020, the whole world went into lockdown because of the coronavirus also known as COVID-19. Former president Donald Trump was warned earlier in the year but did not anything to prepare the United States. The pandemic happened during an election year in which Trump had lost. Businesses, schools, restaurants, bars, nightclubs movie theaters shutdown due to the stay at home order. Events and festivals which included that 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan was cancelled.

Broadway turned off their lights and shut down productions. People quarantined in their homes to prevent the virus from spreading any further. Hundreds of thousands people died because of this virus. People lost their jobs, homes and businesses.

Celebrities were not immune to this pandemic. Some were either tested positive and/ or lost their lives. The world went into recessions. Asians ( my stepmother is Malaysian) were blamed since the virus originated in Wuhan, China.

They were either physically and/ or lost their lives. The black community protested police brutality because of the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. The world economy went into recession. Things like drive-in theaters made a comeback (I went to one for the first time in my life in the summer of that year.)

People started wearing masks to prevent the spread, people had to stand six feet apart from one other, and a curfew was set. There are idiots who use not wearing a mask during a worldwide pandemic as a political statement. Hospitals were packed with people suffering with the virus, visitors were not allowed and hospital staff was very overwhelmed. People in the healthcare field were not prepared too well for the pandemic neither.

Do you how I feel about this pandemic. It got me stressed the fuck out. It got me stressed because I know a lot of people personally who are in the high-risk group. I have been tested for COVID twice! Thank God  was tested negative.

I got worried about the homeless because where are they going to quarantine. And what stressed me out the most was helping my nephew through virtual school. He had so much homework we became stressed. I had to catch him when he almost passed out on the kitchen table. My mind felt so tired I thought I was going to pass out myself. I hope this crisis ends soon.
