2018: Make It Happen

2017 has been a crazy year that went by fast. But now that it is a new year, 2018 will be a year that I really need to make things happen. Its just that there is more in life than what I am doing now. I remember someone in high school said that I am too young to ruts. Routines can son become ruts. I have dreams, goals and aspirations that I want to do in my want life. Through out my life, I have placing stepping stones and gaining experience. However, I need to broaden my horizons. Here the things that I really need to make happen:

1. Move out my both my parent's houses. I'm at a point in my life that I cannot stay in both of my high school bedrooms forever. I really need to spread my wings and fly out both nests. And stay gone this time. Fortunately, I have found a good place that I can move to with great opportunities. The place I'm taking about is Atlanta, Georgia (If I can't find a cheaper place in Atlanta, I could live Decatur and work in Atlanta. In Atlanta, there will be public transportation, things to see, more things to do and more career opportunities.

2. Boost my career. I always want a career in the arts since I was a child. Over the years, I have been gaining experience in what I want to do. Now, I want to take things to the next level. It would help me to promote myself

3. Update and learn new skills. I would live to take some free, self paced MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). I can brush up some foreign languages since that counts as a job skill. I researched that have certificates can help my resume stand out. Acting, voice, dance and others that could help my career could really help as well.

 4. Lose weight. I do not want die before my time because of my weight. I want to do this for my health and not just for vanity reasons only. Even if I was a size 0 people would still call me fat. I just need to remember have confidence and thick skin.

 5. Make a livable income. A 9-5 job does not really cut it these days. Even if the income your looking takes in a building or at home always remember one word: RESEARCH! There are so many scams out there.

6. Post more. That's right! I really do need to post more. It's just that I have been bored and busy. If I had more things to do, I would have more to post about. And I will make more that my post would have more depth.

7. Travel. There is whole world out there and I would like to see it. It would like to travel domestically and internationally. There are so many places I would like to go. However, I will save those places for another post.

 I have finally find a stage name to use in my career. Their are so many people in the world with the same name as myself. I want my stage name to stand out and not blend in. Ladies and gentlemen introducing Waterfall Adams. So that's it for now. Take the time in your life make things happen in your life. What do you want to make happen in your life?

Those foods just happened to be fried chicken and watermelon. Whenever you think of these foods, people would think stereotypes of black people. Black History in the Making: Carlos Hurd

 First of all, I would like to wish you all a Happy Black History Month! I would to discuss this artist who is Black History in making. You really need to see his check out this artist I want to discuss is Carlos Hurd. I first met Carlos when I was a Sophomore at W.P. Davidson High School after transferring from Murphy High School. The first image above is from when we went to Six Flags Over Georgia during our sophomore year in high school. Come to think of it, it was probably the first time I met him.  He left me some encouraging messages on my scrapbook and yearbook during during our senior year of high school as well.  It was a day I will never forget. In fact, it was a day the whole world never forgot.  It was so shocking that the internet crashed. On that day, Farrah Fawcett died after her battle with cancer. But nothing prepared me for the shock I was going to happen in for a few hours later. My mom was picking me up from the university library when she told me that Michael Jackson had a heart attack. At first, I thought it was a rumor since there were a lot of rumors about him anyway. By the time we got home, I turned on the TV and saw the horrible news. I remember dropping the remote control. My sister called and thought I was having a nervous breakdown. I remember going to the local mall that Saturday hearing his music in the hall and in some stores. FYE ran out of Michael Jackson's and his family's music. That Sunday was when the 2009 BET Awards were happening they had to switch things to focus on Michael Jackson.
